Herbert D. Friedman
About Herbert D. Friedman, Esquire

- Herbert D. Friedman, Esq., is an adoptive parent and an adoption attorney
with over 25 years experience. He has helped Massachusetts and out of state families adopt
over 900 children throughout the United States and internationally. He has also represented
prospective adoptive families who reside outside Massachusetts in connection
with Massachusetts adoption situations and procedures. In addition, he
represents egg donors, gestational carrier and intended parents with regard to
artificial reproductive technology issues.

- Herb received his B.A. from Cornell University, his Ph.D. in
Management/Political Science from M.I.T. and his J.D. from Harvard Law
School. He has a civil litigation background and is Of Counsel to a
22 attorney Boston firm. He uses his experience as a trial attorney to
guide adoptive parents through the complexities of the adoption process. His
goal is to make prospective adoptive families educated consumers so that
they can make successful adoption choices. He is fluent in Spanish.

- Herb is a Fellow and former Board member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and has
been active in adoption issues both in Massachusetts and nationally. Most
recently, he was a presenter at the 2008 Annual Conference of the Association
of Administrators of The Interstate Compact on The Placement of Children,
whose members are the officials in each state legally authorized to approve
interstate adoptive placements. His
goal is to provide competent, compassionate, comprehensive legal
representation so that prospective adoptive parents are successful in their
adoption quest.
