Savannah 2011"A Warm Southern Welcome"
May 4th - May 7th
Forsyth Park -SavannahHotel Information:
|
| We are adding rooms via an addendum to our contract with the Hyatt. | |
| Our contract also calls for us to have rooms at the conference rate 3 days prior to the start of the conference and 3 days after. For some of you early birds, the Hyatt told you otherwise, but please persist, and contact me if you have any problem with this. Our hotel conference liaison promised to take care of this glitch and I know some of you have successfully registered this week." |
Conference Information:
This is a unified AAARTA and ///A conference, meaning one registration gets you into all CLEs and events. By popular demand the conference is starting a day earlier this year so you won’t be constantly faced with having to decide between concurrent sessions.
We will have a more detailed agenda for you in the near future, but here is a preview:
| ARTs sessions are planned beginning Weds afternoon at approximately 1:00 pm, and are also open to ///A fellows. On Thursday and Friday we plan to offer a mix of sessions of interest to ARTs and adoption-focused lawyers. Some will be separate (ARTs in one room, adoption in another), some will be joint. Saturday morning will feature adoption topics and likewise, adoption CLE sessions are also open to AAARTAns. | |||||||||
| With the expanded conference, we plan to offer an afternoon off on Friday for sightseeing and outside activities. We'll have selected tourist information for you as well. | |||||||||
We’ve scheduled foodie events in addition to breakfast, lunch, & breaks as
follows:
|
Savannah 2011 offers a paralegal conference in addition to our Adoption and ARTs sessions. Paralegals will have their own continuing education, and will be included in conference meals and events.
|
The attorney liaison to the paralegal conference is Shannon Matteson and paralegal co-chairs are Wendy Gebauer from Steve Hayes’ office and Toni Treadway from Ruth Claiborne's & Lori Surmay’s office. They are working diligently to ensure an informative conference so that paralegals and the attorneys they work with will benefit from this experience. | |
|
In past years, the paralegal conferences have been very well-received. This is about a once-every-three-years event, so plan now to include your paralegal. You’ll be glad you did! |
